About this event
Dear colleagues,
Matthew Skinta (our SFPA Diversity Chair), the SFPA Board, and I are happy to invite you to join us on Saturday, June 9, 2018 for a guided tour of the GLBT History Museum in the Castro. This is one of only a few museums worldwide that explores LGBT culture, found in a city that features so prominently within LGBT history. The tour begins at 4 pm so please arrive by 3:45 pm. The tour is approximately one hour. SFPA will cover the cost of your ticket.
Afterward, we'll move on to the Mix - a neighborhood bar nearby known for its sociable ambience and dog friendliness! We hope that you might consider the importance of more deeply exploring the context that your gender or sexual minority clients live in, and if you yourself are not a member of the community, to explore and experience what LGB and trans-friendly spaces feel like. It will be a chance to socialize with and get to know your colleagues better while celebrating inclusivity!
Warmly,
Matthew Skinta, Robert J. Buonfiglio, and the SFPA Board
