Biography
I am a California licensed clinical psychologist with practices in San Francisco and Walnut Creek. I have experience treating primarily adults in community, private practice, and hospital settings. I have provided individual, couples, and group psychotherapy as well as psychological and neuropsychological testing. I have treated trauma, depression, anxiety, problems with anger and mood regulation, chronic pain, substance abuse, and relationship problems. I have coached individuals of various ages through life and career transitions.
I have had specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Additionally, I have received an in-depth training in cognitive rehabilitation and neuropsychology and am experienced in treating patients with Traumatic Brain Injury, who struggle with emotional distress, memory and concentration difficulties, and chronic pain.
Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked as a teacher and a life coach. I have also worked as a scientist and a project manager for several major technology companies. I lived in different countries and traveled around the world which helped me develop great appreciation for diversity and cultural differences.
I currently specialize in treatment of trauma and in stress, anxiety, mood, and anger management. I offer effective tools for treating anxiety, trauma, and mood problems, including EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness, ACT, and DBT. I particularly enjoy working with entrepreneurs, recent grads, engineers, physicians, executives, or other professionals who experience high levels of stress in demanding occupations. I enjoy working with couples.
