Biography
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in San Francisco. My work is dedicated to the pursuit of psychological health and well-being.
My practice has two areas of focus - women and children. In my child practice, I serve children and adolescents ages 5-18 and their parents. In my adult practice I serve bay area women, including mothers, professionals and young adults.
My background joins two complementary disciplines - clinical psychology and developmental psychology. Clinical psychology is the study of mental health. Developmental psychology is the study of processes of change through the human lifespan.
I've devoted over 20 years to efforts to improve people's lives and better understand human behavior. Along the way I've contributed to counseling programs, schools, child care programs, websites, training programs, public health initiatives, corporate work/life services and educational films.
I was formerly a Project Director at the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd. My team managed the development of California's statewide Early Learning and Development System. We produced the California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Foundations and various volumes of the California Preschool Learning Foundations.
I received a Psy.D. from the Wright Institute and am a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University and Vassar College.
