Control-Mastery Theory is a way to understand trauma as events that mean something to the patient, rather than simply a collection of physical symptoms.

Learning Objectives

- Definition of moral injury as the result of moral stress

- Brief overview of CMT

- Conditions that tend to precede or cause moral injury

- Working with moral injury: more than symptom reduction

- Using the CMT model for formulating a treatment plan
