Lou Ann Wieand is a social/clinical psychologist with a current psychotherapy practice in San Francisco. She is Professor Emerita at Humboldt State University, having taught in the Psychology department there for 32 years. She also trained and supervised students in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at that university, and had a private practice of psychotherapy in Arcata, CA.
She received her B.A. in psychology from Manchester College in N. Manchester, IN, her M.A.in clinical psychology at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and her Ph,D.in social/personality psychology at the University of California, Riverside. She has been trained in Gottman Method Couples therapy and specializes in treating couples and sexual dysfunctions.
